The Sheldonian Theatre is the official ceremonial hall of Oxford University and is where students are admitted to the university and where they receive their degrees. It is also used for lectures, music concerts and as the meeting place for Congregation, the university's parliament. It was designed by Sir Christopher Wren and built between 1664 and 1668.
